This takes “hot pants” to a whole new level.
A former Mormon-turned-OnlyFans creator has lifted the veil on the religious undergarments commonly known as “holy underwear”—a term that might sound mystical but, according to her, comes with more baggage than blessings. She even claimed her in-laws were so devoted to the garments that they burned theirs after she accidentally touched them while folding laundry.
“They’ll never admit this because they’re embarrassed,” said Kari Keone, who goes by @spaceghost on social media. In a series of viral X posts, she laid bare the rituals surrounding these controversial undergarments. “The whole religion is a joke.”
Keone, a former 90s Mormon now making waves on OnlyFans, didn’t hold back in her revelations about the so-called sacred fabric.

The Rules of Holy Underwear
In a recent viral thread for her 100,000+ X followers, she gave a no-holds-barred rundown on the “temple garments”—undies embroidered with religious symbols that devout members are expected to wear under their clothes, day and night, as a constant reminder of their commitment to God.

“I got married super young—22—and for a while, my husband and I lived with his Mormon parents because he had debt we were paying off,” Keone recalled. “One day, I was doing laundry, and I accidentally touched my father-in-law’s holy underwear. My mother-in-law freaked out, cut the runes out of the fabric, and burned them in the backyard.”
And that’s not all. The ex-believer-turned-adult-star also shared photos of the markings that had been cut from these, quite literally, “hot” pants.
But the most jaw-dropping claim? Keone insisted that some believers are taught never to remove their holy underwear—not even during sex.
“You’re supposed to wear them at all times,” she wrote. “Yes, even during sex.”
While members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have pushed back on this claim—saying the garments are generally removed for intimacy, bathing, and certain physical activities—the idea still shocked social media users.
“This whole thing is insane,” one commenter gasped. Another quipped, “I thought growing up evangelical was weird.”
The Controversy Over ‘Magic’ Undies
Despite the memes and mockery, some Mormons take serious issue with the term “magic underwear.” Many argue it’s a disrespectful misrepresentation of a deeply personal religious practice.
“Mormons wear temple garments as a sacred reminder of their promises to God,” attorney and former believer Jim Harman wrote in a blog post. “Calling them ‘Mormon underwear’ is dismissive and mocks something deeply significant to us.”
Still, Keone isn’t alone in questioning the garments. Many women in the faith have spoken out about their discomfort, with some claiming that the fabrics, seams, and fit can cause rashes, yeast infections, and other health issues.
“People are scared to be brutally honest,” one ex-adherent told the New York Times. “This isn’t bringing me closer to Christ—it’s giving me UTIs.”
So whether you call them temple garments, holy underwear, or something else entirely, one thing’s for sure—this discussion isn’t cooling down anytime soon.
