An adult incontinence nappy, called the Pit Diaper, was created for concertgoers who want to avoid long toilet lines. The product, marketed as a solution for music fans stuck in mosh pits, sold out quickly at a price of $75 (£59).
The Pit Diaper was launched by Liquid Death, a US sparkling water company known for its edgy, heavy-metal-themed branding. The promotional material humorously claimed, “The scariest place at a concert isn’t the mosh pit. It’s the bathroom.” It suggested that the Pit Diaper allows fans to “relieve themselves in the safety of the mosh pit.”
The design features black pleather, metal studs, and chains, giving it a bold, rock-inspired look. Liquid Death partnered with an adult incontinence brand to produce this unconventional accessory.
Liquid Death has a reputation for unusual merchandise. Previous items include “misfortune cookies” filled with grim predictions, soap aimed at “psychopaths,” and a can of water duct-taped to a wall, priced at $5.2m (£4.1m). The diaper fits seamlessly into the company’s offbeat product lineup.
In a promotional video, drummer Ben Koller appeared wearing the Pit Diaper. He later commented on X, joking, “Crotch thrusting in a leather diaper on Chicago local news definitely wasn’t on my 2024 Bingo Card. Life is ridiculous.”
Currently, Liquid Death has not announced plans to restock the Pit Diaper, leaving fans curious about its future availability.
